Did you know that during the year ATL runs a number of training courses and summer seminars specifically for students and NQs/probationers, all which are available for FREE!

Shaping your career: starting out
As a newly qualified teacher/probationer you may be thinking about how your career could progress. You may be wondering how to tailor your CV to help you get the job you want. This course is here to help you to gain expertise in searching for jobs, completing application forms and in learning interview techniques. The practical and interactive nature of this course means that you will leave empowered with essential and up-to-date knowledge on how to get on in your career.
Knowledge
By the end of this course you will have:
• discussed and practised job searching strategies
• developed skills in networking and making speculative approaches
• refined your CV
• looked at preparing for an interview and interview techniques.
Who this course is for
This course is suitable for newly qualified teachers/probationers.
Cost
This course is free to newly qualified ATL members provided they have upgraded to standard membership. Non-members can attend at a cost of £250.
